The 3rd Heads of Maritime (HoM) was organised by the Pacific Community’s (SPC) with support of the UK Government, the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the European Union (EU) and hosted by the Solomon Islands Government with the Solomon Islands Maritime Authority (SIMA).
The Meeting was attended by representatives from the following SPC members: Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. CROP agencies and affiliated associations which participated in the meeting were the SPC and Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP). Delegates from the following observers attended the meeting: Asian Development Bank (ADB) Delegation of the European Union for the Pacific, IMO, Maritime New Zealand (MNZ), Pacific Regional Infrastructure Facility (PRIF), Pacific Women In Maritime Association (PacWIMA), Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environmental Programme (SPREP), Solomon Islands Port Authority (SIPA), South-West Pacific Hydrographic Commission (SWPHC), United Kingdom Government, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP) and World Bank (WB).
