Appointment of a member of the Board of SIMA

The Solomon Islands Maritime Authority (SIMA) is the administration with powers and functions over the implementation and enforcement of applicable maritime laws, conventions, and agreements. The Board of SIMA is its governing body.

SIMA seeks a skilled and experienced person in the field of financial management to be appointed as member of the Board of SIMA under the SIMA Act 2018.

A Board member is not entitled to remuneration but receives an allowance determined by the Minister for attending meetings. The Board of SIMA meets on monthly basis.

Closing Date and Time – Thursday 30 November at 5pm local time.

Application – format-free applications must be sent before the closing date and time at and contain: i) cover letter; ii) a document demonstrating how the candidate’s profile meets the criteria in section 10 and 11 of the Terms of Reference; and iii) a CV.
